John Parrish HeadshotDr. Parrish is Edward Wigglesworth Distinguished Professor at Harvard Medical School, and the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of CIMIT, the Consortia for Improving Medicine with Innovation and Technology. A Boston-based consortium of major teaching hospitals, engineering schools and research laboratories, CIMIT brings together financial resources, scientific insights and business expertise to catalyze innovations that will have a major beneficial impact on healthcare. Dr. Parrish also founded the MGH-Harvard Cutaneous Biology Research Center, at the time, the largest industry-academia collaboration in all of medicine. A graduate of Duke University and Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Parrish has spent over 30 years translating basic research into clinical care. He has over 300 publications including 7 books and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
