What is IEEE EMBC 2026?

The conference will take place from 26 – 30 July 2026 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Toronto, Canada.

The 2026 Conference theme is “Engineer Sustainable and Equitable Healthcare.”
What types of submissions are accepted?
The following are available for submission in the EMBC 2026 program:
- Full Contributed Papers (4 to 7 pages)
- Research Poster Papers (1-page abstracts, not published in IEEE Xplore)
- Workshop proposals
- Special session proposals
Can papers be longer or shorter than the specified limits?
No. Full Contributed Papers must be between 4 and 7 pages.
Papers not meeting acceptance criteria may be invited to submit as 1-page poster papers.
Research Poster Papers are strictly limited to 1 page.Will poster submissions be published?
No. One-page poster abstracts are not published in IEEE Xplore.
When will the Call for Papers and Proposals open?
Calls for full papers, workshops, and mini-symposia proposals are expected to open for submission in November 2025.
