Opportunity For Students

As a non-profit association, IEEE and EMBS are organizations led primarily by the efforts of volunteer contributors. Each year, at the IEEE EMB International Conference, conference organizers look to recruit students to make the conference a success!

To apply for Student Opportunity for Funding at the 46th International IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference in Orlando, Florida, please complete the Call For Student Services Application, which is located within the EMBC registration site. Please note that spots are limited.

Acceptance

Student volunteers will be notified of acceptance by 14 June 2024. The volunteer program is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Students must be registered and pay to attend the conference. If selected, Please select which days you are currently available to work. Once the program is finalized volunteers will be able to select specific day/time slots.

Service Hours

Students who complete 8 hours of volunteer service at the conference will be issued a funding toward their registration.

Note: Two 4-hour shifts or one 8-hour shift.

Verification

Students must have their hours verified by the Professional Conference Organizer prior to leaving the conference and only students who have validated volunteer hours will have refunds processed.
